Virat Kohli is going through a tough phase. As a captain and batsman, he has not been enjoying a good time on the field. Kohli to overcome bad phase?

Virat Kohli will not like to remember his timing in New Zealand. He could score only 75 runs in the recently concluded three-match ODI series which was followed by another bad Test series outing. The experts and fans have a lot to talk about and the captain will like to answer with his bat. the upcoming home series against the Proteas will be a chance for Kohli to redeem himself as a batter and captain as well. He will be eager to put an end to all these criticisms and become the King Kohli with his performance.

The legend Kohli is famous of making new records in almost every series he plays now. He has become such a constant run-machine that one or two lean patches do not really affect his numbers. No wonder he is on the verge of making another record in the upcoming series.
Kohli eyes on new record

Kohli is just 133 runs away from reaching the milestone of 12000 ODI runs. He will be only the second Indian batsman, after Sachin Tendulkar to do so and the sixth overall. At present Virat Kohli has 11867 ODI runs to his name at a terrific average of 59.33. Out of his total ODI runs 8589 have come in winning causes at a massive average of 77.37.

Kohli will be the fastest to achieve this feat as well. All other batsmen till now have taken more than 300 innings to reach this milestone whereas the Indian captain will be playing his 240th innings in the first ODI against South Africa at Dharamsala.
